There are a ton of dance performances out there that are absolutely mesmerizing to watch, and manage to captivate the audiences’ attention the entire time. This dance routine by the Southlake Carroll Varsity Emerald Belles is definitely one of them, bringing an incredible amount of energy and passion to the dance floor.
Their technique is suspenseful and it’s a joy to watch it all unfold.

This isn’t the first time that the group has garnered nationwide attention.
In fact, they even participated in the fourteenth season of America’s Got Talent and even made it to the live quarterfinal rounds.

“The Emerald Belles Drill Team is a super-sized dance team from Southlake, Texas with a long-standing tradition of excellence. Over the past 23 years, under the direction of Melissa Page, this team has won many state, national and international titles. As one of the largest drill teams in the country, our team ranges yearly anywhere from 70-100 girls. The Belles competed on Season 14 of America’s Got Talent and made it three rounds and were featured live on NBC in the quarterfinals from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California,” their website reads.

Before they got famous, they performed for numerous crowds and competitions across the country.
This video at the Showmakers of America Dance Competition has gone viral, and for good reason.

The video starts when all of the dancers form a triangle.
The theme of the competition was ‘Daft Punk’, and as soon as the music starts, you just know that you’re in for a treat. The music blends in wonderfully and is a perfect match for the choreography. The director and choreographer of the group, Melissa Page, also took some inspiration from the Tron movies for the routine.

As you can also tell by now, this group specializes in high kick dancing, which really brings out a ton of energy and excitement. Of course, dancing like this is not only difficult technically, but also quite exhausting.
On the other hand, in the dance performance, they make it seem completely effortless.

These girls must’ve rehearsed for a very long time, and it shows.
“It takes more than talent to make this team of champions. The Emerald Belles received its attention by dancing on America’s Got Talent. However, what makes this team so special is not just the height of our kicks, but the way we treat others inside and outside of our 6:45 AM practices.”

“Mrs. Page fosters an environment of kindness and positivity and believes in empowering her girls to realize the importance of showing compassion to their teammates as well as their peers in school and in the community. This message has become the team motto: #bekind #beabelle. To spread this idea, every week teammates nominate a Belle who has shown exemplary acts of love and compassion to receive the “Be kind, Be a Belle” award. We want to use our platform from America’s Got Talent to spread kindness and the importance of mental health in high school.”

At one point in the video, the group starts to form a large ring, and it’s quite impressive to see how immaculate the choreography of this large dance group is.

The audience absolutely loves it, especially when they break up their circle and return to their triangle starter position again.
One thing is for sure: this high kick dance routine was one of the highlights of the evening.

With over 3,4 million views on YouTube alone, the internet absolutely loved this striking performance as well.
