Simplistically Synchronized
With the growth of technology and social media, people have become more in-tune with their artistic side. They’re utilizing their skills and talents to create an outlet for their forms of expression in many astounding ways.
You’ve seen it too: the trick-shots, the bike spins, the infinite flips, and backbreaking displays of strengths. The list goes on and on with the mixed bag of awesomeness humans are able to capture on video each and every day.
The most recent online video that has caught our attention is a perfectly synchronized arm performance created by a team of 65 people.
The mesmerizing performance is visually stunning, to say the least, and not only that but the way it all came together was extremely well-coordinated.
This is where art meets talent.
Albeit not socially distanced, each participant did take the precaution of wearing a mask.
Let’s get the politics out of the way here first.
Sure the cool group of guys and gals aren’t 6 feet apart, but at least they tried to mitigate the spread of the virus with their masks on.
It’s actually important to the entire aesthetic that they were positioned in 4 rows and 16 columns the way they did in order for this to work out as planned.
The video wastes no time and gets right down to the action.
The perfectly timed movements of everyone’s arms are both eerie and jaw-dropping to watch. You can tell that this was no small feat to accomplish!
There was a ton of work that went behind this project and it totally shows.
Inspiration for this beautiful display of coordination could have been how a flock of birds move in a single unit when traversing great distances.
The movements and motions these birds take are truly head-scratching, considering they all look to be following the same trajectory despite being so many of them flying together.
It turns out, the V-formation in flocks allows them to enhance their communication and coordination with the way they orient their flight paths.
The performance both bedazzles and becalms the audience.
The title “Murmuration” was given to this exquisite display of talent. We don’t know why, but it at least has a nice tone to it.
Later in the video, we can see how hard the team worked to achieve this grand feat. A lot of choreographic work went behind the scenes as we see the coaches instructing the performers on how and when to move their arms.
As hard as the process looked, it must have been even more fun to actually carry it out and be a part of it. You can tell everyone was focused on the goal of executing the routine perfectly.
Almost like the flock of birds that fly together with a purpose, these folks knew that they were working on something amazing that just had to be done the right way.
Once the chemistry is there, nailing moves comes with time and patience.
Eventually, the gang got it together and gave us an extraordinary final product. It’s awesome to be able to thrive in a culture where the beauty in art is appreciated.
Hopefully, this inspires many more generations of artists who won’t hesitate to be experimental and try out things that can make a difference in someone’s day.
